Important: Therapy
Penicillin V PO for 5 days
Co-amoxiclav IV if severe or worsening
Micro Organisms
Usually viral - If symptoms <10 days no antibiotics usually required unless systemically unwell.
In complicated cases antibiotics can be used- Consider ENT review.

< 12 years - Azithomycin PO for 5 days
> 12 years - Doxycyline PO for 5 days
