Endocrinology Services in Tayside aim to diagnose and provide care and support to individuals with conditions relating to hormone-related disorders and imbalances.

The service is on the whole delivered by consultants in outpatient clinics at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. We have a specialist nurse who works closely with the consultant team to arrange investigations and review of patients. We work with other specialist teams to ensure joined up, coordinated care. 

Referral Guidance 

Endocrinology is a specialty that encompasses diverse conditions so it is difficult to provide comprehensive referral advice. Where available, Primary care referrers are encouraged to use established referral guidance.

Please note that there is a separate referral stream for the Diabetes service.
